rant time!

The Iraq war that was fought between mainly the U.S, and Iraq was a very bloody war. The main rationale of the war was to remove a regime that developed and used weapons of mass destruction that harbored and supported terrorists, committed outrageous human rights abuses, and defied the just demands of the United Nations and the world. I do not really support the invasion of Iraq. U.S President Geogre Bush mentioned that Iraq was filled with weapons of mass destruction, however after the invasion , there was nothing found there. It has caused many deaths of U.S soldiers as well as people of Iraq, both innocent and militants. Furthermore, it has also wasted half a trillion dollars on the war in Iraq, which could be better used for other stuff such as developing the countries, etc. Although Saddam Hussein was taken down from the throne, I feel that there could be another way, of less bloodshed and destruction to remove him. For example, we could implement economic sanctions against him or boycott him. War, in my opinion, is never a good thing and I feel that it is never justifiable. Besides, I believe that the main aim for the invasion is that Iraq was rich in oil reserves. This is because there was a case of Indonesian government oppressing the West Papuans but the west did not do anything about it, which I believe is because west Papuan was not rich in resources. Thus, I feel that they had an ulterior motive for invading Iraq and I do not support it.
