Is winning in sports important?
I would agree that winning in sports is important. For most of us, it is all just a game, but when we are representing or competing in sports competitions, we should at the least take up the responsibility and do our best. Furthermore, winning in sports is a very good way establish a good character of one self ;would help boost a person's confidence in his life. Finally, winning in sports would provide one self with many opportunities to built on his career in sports. In conclusion, i feel that winning in sports is important especially if you are a professional. but if you are an amateur, i would say that winning is not so important as you are taking up the sport at own your leisure and should not pressure yourself if not you would accumulate more stress.
Winning in sports is important as it is all about responsibility. If you are sponsoring a group of players in competition, you would definitely want your team to win right? In the same way, when we are representing an organisation, country or even anything, we should not be so self-centered and at least give something back to the people who sponsored you.Other than them, there are trainers and coaches whose reputation also depends on our results,thus we should not only win for our own sake, but for the people who has been helping you out.To add on , when you win in sports in bring great joy and hope to people thus winning is important as we should be responsible enough to give something back to them at that is through winning sports events.
Winning in sports also helps to built up your character. When you win in something, you would feel good about it and start to gain more confidence in yourself and you would believe in your capabilities and one self. Therefore you would appear to be a more confident person as you have at least achieve something no matter how small. Winning in sports can be made into a hunger or desire and will this sportsmen on. This sportsmen would be even more determined and more focus to win. They would then be able to take all the hardship and be more strong-willed people thus developing the person's character more.
The last reason is that winning in sports would allow many opportunities to develop your career as a sportsman. If you start winning in sports, you would soon be able to play competitively and if you are good enough, you may even become a professional. This process only happens if you start winning in sports, thus your Career opportunities would be limitless,and you may even become an icon in the sport and bring you the wealth and fame. Thus winning is important.
In conclusion, winning in sports help you to develop in character, create carer prospects and is your responsibility(if you are playing as a professional) thus it is important. However winning must come hand in hand with integrity, like one of the most famous football coach-Zdenk Zeman- says:'there is no shame being last. Better last than without integrity".
